Cebu ICT2005 Metro Manila Launch

The evening after the presscon, we had the formal launch of the Cebu ICT2005 event at the Dusit Hotel in Makati City.

There was a contract signing between the Cebu organizers and the various Impelementing partners mainly composed of IT and business organizations.

Special guests were Sec. Ver Pena, Her Excellency the Ambassador of India with her team, and other govt officials.

Last friday noon, the Phil Internet Commerce Society organized a presscon to launch the CEBU ICT 2005 event to be held this June.

When Bonie, the ICT event chair approached me for support last year I chose handling the launch in metro manila since our organization is non profit without funding and we cannot afford to fly members or the board to cebu city.

Mon Lizardo was our master of ceremonies (perennially). On the presidential table with me are Francis Muneres, Overall chairman (SVP Ayala Land), Bonie Belen, and Racquel Cagurangan, Innove the major sponsor.

Mom's birth city is actually Tayabas which is after Lucena but we had to pass by here cause my colleague had to talk to a lawyer in the quezon rural bank who turned out to be the father of my high school barkada (as mentioned in a previous post).

After their official meeting, Atty. Medenilla (in center photo with moi) showed us around the new bldg and brought us up to their upper deck to view the whole city. One can see the big Metro Gaisano Mall from the top.

I was told its the biggest rural bank in that part of the country.

I forgot to post this last weekend. I happen to review the photos in my camera and found this. Do you know what amused me when we had our lunch here in Lucena City?

I saw that they were offering south beach diet! Ha ha.....Its half the price than in manila. Unfortunately its by order and I cant request for something ala carte.

I liked their landscape before entering the aircon portion of the resto so took a shot as well.
