Bisita Iglesia

Everything happens for a reason. Last Holy Thursday, I was supposed to meet up with Susan, my high school barkada who just arrived from the US. As always her schedule was screwed so I just decided to attend the services at greenbelt chapel. Since I got an 'extra' driver today (I never planned to leave home except to church in bf), I decided might as well do the rounds of the church at least in makati. Have not done the traditional 'bisita iglesia' for years since my mom had difficulty in walking. From greenbelt chapel (top left photo), I proceeded to Don Bosco (top right photo), then Shrine of the Sacred Heart (lower left photo) and finally Church of the Resurrecion in BF Homes (lower right photo). It was close to midnight when I reached the last church since a few mins after praying, the priest went to take out the chalice. Just in the nick of time. I was supposed to go to San Antonio in Forbes but as usual, my driver got lost on the way to Sacred Heart so we wasted so much time.

Pao Vic Belle and Xango Night

Pao called me a few days ago to say they were in manila. I completely forgot all about it till I received a text from him while entering Intercon hotel. I told him to proceed to the hotel near the pool so we can have coffee. Pao and Vic are my god children (yes, during their wedding, much against my will but cant refuse the mom). It was the first time I saw Isabel in person, the very cute and energetic only daughter. She loved running around the pool and playing with the slide and toy house. I invited them to a presentation I was about to attend which was the soon to launch Xango, mangsoteen health drink. Told them I will be signing up soon as a distributor and they might be interested in distributing this in tacloban where they are based or cebu, their home. Right afte the presentation, I brought them to the fort since they wanted to buy Go Donuts for pasalubong.

Last thursday, I had lunch with manny and baby bengson. They are now based in the US but visit once or twice a year. Mr. Bengson used to be our president. He is one of the very few I respect and trust in the bank. Since he just came from the dentist, he requested a place which serves soft food preferably salad, so off we went to our good old reliable Italiannis!

Scoble who?

When some of my colleagues and I were brainstorming on a possible Blogging Conference, Mike interjected asking our friends in Microsoft to invite its famous blogger Robert Scoble. I immediately called their PR and mentioned the idea and name but she asked Scobble...who? :) I then said I will just email the request. I checked on his blogsite and when I arrived home and a line in one of his recent posts, caught my fancy : "Here's my thesis: companies that have lots of bloggers will end up making better products, will end up having better marketing and PR, will end up making more profit at the end of the day, and will be more likely to have more than one "hit product" and will be more likely to last 100s of years" Read more of his posts here.
